Today of course was no different as the usual flurry of short stacked players jammed in their anaemic chip stacks happy to take the chance for a double up and reignite their tournament challenge

It all kicked off on January 3, and a new division was added to the two existing ones to give players more choices and competition. That $5.50 league drew in some new players and gave the 2012 WPL a thrilling set of tournaments to follow.

Gone are Eric Nhouyvanisvong and Ilan Boujenah who will each share the €7,500 awarded for 128th place. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Double the fun this month for SnG grinders as the monthly Battle of the Planets $50,000 triple shootout kicked off twice. jusTTsmile took home the $12,000.00 first place prize at the beginning of the month but failed to become the first player to win the tournament twice in the same month after earning another ticket to come back but falling in 441st place. 549 other players also cashed their shortened monthly tickets to this freeroll thanks to placing high enough on the eight planetary leaderboards Team PokerStars failed to qualify this month or were busying gearing up for the last day of the 2012 Turbo Championship of Online Poker with the $2,100 buy-in high roller (that awarded four players a six-figure score in just over four hours) and the $700 Main Event.
