SCOOP 2012: drkamikaze1 obliterates Badugi field in #4-Low

by on May.08, 2012, under Gambling News

Join PokerStars now! Badugi is a fetish event for a subsection of unique card slingers with a particular taste for lowball. Badugi is a game so far off the beaten path (think of the outer moons of Jupiter), that it requires a rare breed of player to put forth the patience and discipline needed to master its distinct skills. Very few strategy books divulge the intricacies of Badugi, so you really have to educate yourself by grinding it out and logging thousands and thousands of hands

Eureka Croatia 2: Day 1b, Level 6 (150/300/25)

by on Apr.12, 2012, under Gambling News

Join PokerStars now! 8.45pm: END OF LEVEL 6; ONE HOUR DINNER BREAK 8.30pm: Ellrich gets Ellricher Sven Ellrich was actually pretty short of chips with only around 7k before he tangled with a fellow shortstack at the table, getting his chips in with [Tc][Th], whilst his opponent had [Ah][Kd]. A flop of [Kc][4d][2d] seemed to have sealed Ellrich’s fate, and the turned [Jh] wasn’t of much assistance, leaving Ellrich to bury his head in his hands, resigned to defeat. Then like a bolt from the blue, the spikiest of spiky cards – the [Ts] appeared to redeem him on the river, sending his opponent to the rail and leaving Ellrich back up to the more comfortable heights of around 17.5k, although Ellrich didn’t take his head out of his hands
